My little science man

And I have a five year old! I can't believe it. Where has the time gone? Yesterday was Jake's 5th birthday party and we celebrated with a science-themed outer space party. On the menu? Cracking open "moon rocks" aka geodes,  soda/mento rockets and making tri-color ublick. A lot of my ideas (such as the lab coats and goggles were inspired by this post on an awesome blog called, http://princessandthefrogblog.blogspot.com/. I absolutely loved the science party they featured and decided to go more in the direction of outer space and rocket ships. Nevertheless, check out their party and then check out mine:

my finest culinary creation - man on the moon cake (hand-sculpted fondant astronaut and yellow buttercream cake)
